The May, 2014 Breathe conference has passed. Watch this space for announcements about upcoming events.
Join us at our NACR headquarters in Richmond, VA for Breathe: the 11th step workshop. This three day event begins on Thursday night, May 15 and ends on Saturday afternoon, May 17th, 2014. It will focus on the spiritual practices of prayer and meditation as mentioned in Step 11 of the twelve steps of alcoholics anonymous. In the AA Big Book, the authors spoke of a need to not be shy about prayer. After all, they suggest, “better men” use it constantly. But my experience is that all of us struggle with the practice of prayer – sober or not. After years of tinkering, we’ve developed a workshop designed to help people get the most out of the eleventh step. Experience three days of guided study, prayer and small group experiences, designed to provide you with both the personal practice and the materials to bring the 11th step back into your communities of recovery and faith.
