Recovery as Community: practical ways to support healing and restoration from Substance Use Disorders
WHEN
November 3-4, 2017
WHERE
Trinity Episcopal Church, 345 Main Street, Portland, CT. 06480
PRESENTER
As Exec. Dir. of the NACR, Teresa brings both enthusiasm and resources to a workshop focused on helping faith communities access resources on recovery and share them with their communities. Although she is inspired by the work she witnesses happening all over the country in the arena of spirituality and recovery, Teresa is at heart a pragmatic practitioner. She co-pastors Northstar Community, a local recovery church in Richmond, VA, where she regularly borrows other people’s great ideas in hopes of building a safe, effective and welcoming church for families struggling with Substance Use Disorders, trauma and mental health issues in her local community.
