Center for 12 Step Recovery

It’s not the twelve ideas. Not the twelve doctrines. Not the twelve convictions. It is a collection of twelve recommended behaviors which members of Alcoholics Anonymous have found to be helpful. Whether you are new to a twelve step program or an old-timer, we hope that you will find something here that will help you to do the spiritual practices which are recommended in the twelve steps.

Embracing Serenity: workbooks by Teresa McBean

By the Book: A Video Workshop

The Bible puts it this way: “faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (N.I.V., James 2:17). The Big Book of A.A. puts it like this: “The spiritual life is not a theory. We have to live it.” So, what do you do when you do the twelve steps? These resources will introduce you to each step from the perspective of what behaviors are being suggested. What we have to offer here is four people with significant experience doing the steps and helping others to do the same. We hope that some of their suggestions will be helpful to you.
